How to Add a New Customer and Schedule Their First Job in PestPro CRM

Step-by-step guide to adding your first customer and booking their first job in PestPro CRM — the fastest way to get your new account up and running.

The first thing you do in any new tool sets the tone for how you use it. In PestPro CRM, that first action is simple: add a customer and get them on the schedule. Here is exactly how to do it.

What you will have when you are done

By the end of this walkthrough you will have:

  • A complete customer record in your CRM.
  • A job scheduled and assigned to that customer.
  • Everything in place to send a confirmation, show up, and get paid.

Step 1: Navigate to Customers

From your dashboard, go to the Customers section in the main navigation. This is your central hub for all customer records.

Click Add New Customer (or the + button, depending on your view).

Step 2: Enter the customer's information

Fill in the key fields:

  • Name — first and last.
  • Address — full service address including city, state, and ZIP. This is what drives your route map, so accuracy matters.
  • Phone number — used for automated text reminders.
  • Email — optional but useful for sending estimates and invoices.
  • Notes — add anything relevant up front: gate codes, dogs on property, preferred contact time, special instructions.

Once filled in, save the record. The customer now exists in your CRM.

Step 3: Create a job for this customer

From inside the customer record, click Add Job (or Schedule Service, depending on your view).

Fill in the job details:

  • Service type — general pest, rodent, mosquito, one-time, recurring, etc.
  • Date and time — when you want to show up.
  • Job notes — what you are treating, products you plan to use, any access notes.
  • Price — the amount you will charge for this visit.

Save the job. It will now appear on your schedule and on the customer's record.

Step 4: Confirm the appointment

Once the job is created, you can:

  • Send the customer a text confirmation directly from the job record.
  • Add the job to your route for that day so it shows up in your optimized stop order.
  • Set a follow-up reminder if this is a multi-visit treatment (German roaches, bed bugs, rodent programs).

Step 5: Mark the job complete and collect payment

When you finish the job, open the record on your mobile device or back at your desk and mark it Complete. From there you can:

  • Generate and send an invoice.
  • Collect payment and log it in the system.
  • Leave internal notes about what was treated and any recommendations.

That is the full loop: customer in, job scheduled, service done, payment collected, record updated.

Pro tip: Build the habit early

Every customer you add completely — full address, phone number, service notes — is a customer your CRM can work with automatically. Partial records break reminders, break routing, and break invoicing. Take the extra 60 seconds on each new entry and your whole operation runs cleaner from day one.
