How to Set Up a Recurring Service Plan in PestPro CRM

Learn how to configure recurring service plans inside PestPro CRM so your repeat customers are automatically scheduled, reminded, and billed without manual effort every cycle.

Recurring revenue is the foundation of a stable pest control business. But recurring revenue only works if your recurring jobs are actually set up correctly in your CRM. Here is how to do it in PestPro.

What a recurring service plan does

A recurring plan tells PestPro to automatically schedule a job for a customer at a set interval — monthly, quarterly, bi-monthly, or whatever cadence fits the service. Once it is set up, you stop having to manually rebook every customer. The jobs appear on your schedule automatically, reminders go out automatically, and invoices generate automatically.

Step 1: Open the customer record

Navigate to Customers and open the record for the customer you want to set up on a recurring plan.

If this is a brand new customer, add them first (see: How to Add a New Customer and Schedule Their First Job).

Step 2: Add a recurring service

Inside the customer record, look for the option to Add Recurring Service or Create Service Plan.

Select the service type:

  • General pest (quarterly, bi-monthly, monthly).
  • Rodent program (initial + monthly follow-ups).
  • Mosquito season plan (monthly April through October).
  • Custom interval for any specialized program.

Step 3: Set the schedule

Choose your recurrence settings:

  • Frequency — how often the job repeats (weekly, monthly, every 6 weeks, quarterly, etc.).
  • Start date — when the first job in the series should occur.
  • Service window — morning, afternoon, or a specific time if the customer has a preference.

PestPro will use these settings to place jobs on your schedule at the correct intervals going forward.

Step 4: Set the price

Enter the price for each recurring visit. This is what will appear on each auto-generated invoice. If you offer a discounted rate for customers on a plan versus one-off services, enter the plan rate here.

Step 5: Enable reminders

Toggle on automated reminders for this customer. PestPro will send a text (and optionally email) reminder before each scheduled visit so customers know you are coming and can prepare access, secure pets, or ask questions before you arrive.

Step 6: Save the plan

Save the recurring service. From this point forward:

  • Jobs will appear on your calendar automatically at the set interval.
  • The customer will receive reminders ahead of each visit.
  • Invoices will be generated at each service completion.
  • The customer's service history will build automatically in their record.

Managing existing recurring plans

You can edit, pause, or cancel a recurring plan from inside the customer record at any time:

  • Edit — change frequency, price, or service type.
  • Pause — temporarily suspend the plan (useful for seasonal services or customer travel).
  • Cancel — end the plan and stop future job generation.

Pro tip: Name your plans clearly

When you have multiple recurring plan types, use clear service names ("Quarterly General Pest," "Monthly Rodent Check," "Mosquito Season Program") so your schedule stays readable at a glance and your reporting by service type stays accurate.
